A wall mount with arm allows a monitor to be fixed to the wall, but with the flexibility to adjust its position. The arm allows the monitor to be moved forward, backward, tilted or swiveled, offering more viewing versatility and space savings.

To make sure that a bracket is compatible with a monitor, it is important to check two key points:

- VESA compatibility: VESA is the standard that defines the distance (in millimeters) between the mounting holes on the back of the monitor and the bracket. Both measurements (horizontal and vertical) should be compared to ensure that they match.

Example: If the VESA of the monitor is 500x300 mm and that of the stand is 600x400 mm, they will be compatible because the nails can be adjusted to the correct distance horizontally and use can be made of the multiple holes in the nails to adjust them vertically.

- Weight compatibility: The stand must be able to support the weight of the monitor without exceeding its maximum capacity.

Example: If the monitor weighs 14 kg and the stand supports up to 12 kg, they will not be compatible. On the other hand, if the support supports up to 18 kg, they will be.
